Cawingredients manufacture and supply high volume soft drinks principally to the UK markets.

We are looking for a number of Production Operators to join our fast moving, dynamic growing business. As a Production Operator you will be working in a state of the art production facility and you will play a key part in ensuring successful output of product. Working as Production Operator, in our canning facility your responsibilities will vary around the daily production plans, therefore we are seeking individuals with a degree of flexibility to operate various machines to a very high standard.

Duties & Responsibilities:



To ensure that all company and departmental regulations and guidelines are rigorously adhered to at all times, e.g. health and safety, hygiene, dress code, plus all other relevant company policies. Follow correct procedures for the separation and disposal of waste and return all tools, materials and equipment to their correct location after use. Willing and prepared to support and help fellow team members, prepared to accept and adopt new challenges and changes in plan. Avoid conflict and build effective working relationships with others. Conduct machine centre handovers ensuring all relevant information is passed on and understood by the following operative. Provide first line maintenance and asset care for Production equipment Support the Supervisor in driving output and line efficiencies to and beyond targets set.

Requirements:



Previous experience of working within a production/ or manufacturing environment ideally food or related industries Experience of providing quality control on the finished product Food safety qualifications e.g. Foundation food hygiene certificate, HACCP (level2) Experience in project improvement initiatives as part of a team Problem solving techniques Team orientation and a collaborative working style Ability to multi task in a high pressure environment
Ideally we need applicants to have previously worked in a manufacturing environment, as candidates will need to evidence previous experience of basic mechanical aptitude in operating production equipment. This role will be based on our site in Leeming Bar in North Yorkshire. The normal working hours would be 2,166 per annum. Rotas are notified in advance. You will be expected to maintain a flexible schedule throughout the training period, continuing until the end of 2025, after which you will transition to the standard shift pattern - working a variation to the four on four off twelve hour shift pattern working both day and night shifts as directed.

The starting salary for this position is 31,000 . Individual performance and development within the role will continuously be monitored over the first 2 years of employment. Individuals will be formally reviewed every 6 months and based on signs of continuous development, at those intervals it is anticipated that in line with progression the salary will be increase at each stage.

Once deemed a fully competent operator (by 2 years service) the salary will be uplifted to the equivalent full rate of a trained production operator (currently at 41,548.04 per annum).
