About the Job Role



Our Production Operator role is suitable for skilled, time-served, craftspeople able to demonstrate experience in the manual production of high-quality products.

Upholstery skills are preferred but not essential - you'll be skilled in the use of hand tools and possess a sharp eye for detail. You will have pride from working with the best materials and seek to minimize waste, treating every piece with care and consideration.

You will support the production area in safely achieving quality, volume, and productivity goals. Flexible approach to working across a number of production cells utilising a variety of craft skills and techniques.

With training all operatives are expected to achieve a minimum of 2 roles that can be performed to the required level of quality at the production rate without support.

A positive "Is it Safe, Is it right", "Can Do" attitude is required and understanding that the whole team has to achieve daily and weekly goals. Your eye for detail will be paramount in being successful within this role.

Do you have the following skills and experience?



Upholstery experience preferred, proven high degree of manual dexterity with hand tools

Craft experience advantageous

Familiarity with factory environment, be prepared to work flexibly which may include crossover between roles on a single shift.

Main Duties and Responsibilities



Perform task as described in Standard Operating Procedure, assist in developing SOP when necessary.

Operation and daily maintenance of equipment producing Springs and Frames, Industrial sewing, upholstery and assembly.

You'll be responsible for ensuring the quality of products performing quality checks of own and colleagues work as directed.

Alert supervision to safety and quality concerns, actively contribute to resolutions.

Identify any equipment concerns/deterioration in performance.

Qualifications



NVQ Level 3 / 4 preferred not essential
