As a result of our continued expansion we are seeking talented individuals to join us as a Production Operator at our Production facility in Port Talbot.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking
Laundry Operator
to join our team at a commercial laundry facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating industrial laundry equipment, ensuring the efficient cleaning and processing of linens, garments, and other textiles while maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor industrial washing, drying, and folding machines.
Sort, load, and unload laundry items according to fabric type, color, and cleaning requirements.
Inspect and ensure cleanliness and quality of processed laundry.
Follow proper procedures for handling and using chemicals, detergents, and disinfectants.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including machines and surrounding spaces.
Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies to prevent damage to laundry items and equipment.
Identify and report any mechanical issues or malfunctions to maintenance staff.
Meet daily production targets while maintaining high-quality standards.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a commercial laundry, hospitality, or industrial setting is a plus but not required.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of proper laundry handling techniques and fabric care.
Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays if required.
Basic understanding of workplace safety procedures.
Driven team mindset working collaboratively
Process driven approach - you will be standing and lifting all day
Capability to understand and operate machinery - all training will be provided!
