Production Operator - Propellants Team

Fixed Term Contract (FTC) 6-12 months

Chemring Energetics UK is a global business providing a range of equipment based on energetic materials for defence, civil defence, and key commercial customers.

Are you hands-on, safety-conscious, and enjoy working as part of a team? As a Production Operator, you'll play a key role in running and maintaining machinery to produce high-quality products. You'll help maintain a safe, organised workspace and ensure tasks are completed to the highest standards. If this sounds like your ideal role, we'd love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

Operate various machines in full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company policies, and procedures. Report any unsafe acts or unsafe conditions promptly using the Near Miss System. Wear and use the required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Follow all site rules, operating instructions, and manufacturing documents carefully. Complete all tasks only once fully trained and deemed competent, understanding the associated hazards, risks, and controls. Maintain high standards of housekeeping in your work area. Successfully undertake, complete, and sign off the CEUK Competence Assurance Training for Propellants.

Qualifications & Experience:

Experience in a production environment. Basic numeracy and literacy skills. Ability to lift and carry weights up to 20kg.

Desirable:

Drivers licence.
