We are seeking a dedicated Production Operator to join our busy hard-working team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining various print and embroidery equipment, ensuring high-quality output in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills within a dynamic organisation that values safety, precision, and efficiency. The Production Operator will play a vital part in supporting our production processes, from materials handling to final assembly, contributing to the continuous improvement of our manufacturing operations. We are specifically looking for someone with digital production skills for the embroidery and print sector including proof file creation, artwork generation for print files and with training skills in digitising embroidery files.
Fitting in with our existing small team will be essential to this job role. We work hard and product high quality products for our customers. We also value our team and will arrange events outside of work e.g. The Alton Towers 5K run, pizza lunches and great Christmas parties. The team enjoy family time, spending time outdoors and travel.
Responsibilities
Operate print and embroidery machinery, adhering to safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
Assist with pre-production tasks including preparation of artwork and digital files.
Handle materials efficiently within the production area, including loading, unloading, and organising stock.
Utilise software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for accurate artwork generation and production.
Perform basic maths calculations for measurements, tolerances, and quality checks during production.
Conduct routine inspections of equipment and finished products to maintain quality standards.
Support the maintenance of a clean and organised work environment, following health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues related to materials handling or fabrication processes.
Qualifications
Proven experience in production or manufacturing environments.
Proficiency with Abobe software such as Illustrator and familiarity with design principles.
Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality assessments.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
