Overview

We are seeking a conscientious and reliable Production Operative to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety and the environment to include statutory waste water compliance, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in manufacturing or similar roles is preferred but not essential.

Duties and Responsibilities

In this role, you will be trained on and be responsible for operating a number of different machines at any given time. Manufacturing a range of adhesive products, and ensuring quality control throughout the production process. Your key duties will include:

? Operating and low level maintenance of production equipment

? You will be trained to work on all of the production machines

? Monitoring production processes and liaising with the Laboratory to ensure that samples meet quality standards

? Adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean work environment

? Collaborating with team members to meet production goals

? Fork lift truck driving experience - any candidate will have a current fork lift truck licence.

You will also have the following desirable skills :

? The ability to read and follow accurately written instructions on the combination of chemicals during the manufacturing process.

? Having good numerical and writing skills.

? Dexterity and the ability to cope well with manual handling at different levels to include bending and lifting charge into the various machines.

? The ability to work independently or within a team as required by management.

? Excellent time keeping and attendance levels

? A flexible approach to the needs of the business in relation to the application of tasks and overtime.

? Have a positive attitude and be self motivated.

Desirable Experience

You will have previous experience as a production operative in any chemical industry.
