Job title: Production operative

Location: Yorvale Ltd, Fossfield farm, Acaster Malbis, York. YO23 2XA

Salary: 13 per hour/Over time available at 19.50 per hour after 40 hours

Job type: Full time/permanent

Shifts: 5 working days over 7 (In general our hours of operation are Monday to Friday 8am till 4pm, although some flexibility occasionally for when business demands).

We are a well-established, family-owned business, specialising in the production of ice creams, sorbets and additional dairy lines. Due to recent expansion, we are recruiting for 3 production operatives to join our small and friendly team.

As part of our production team you will report to the Factory Team Leader and will work across our production suite on various tasks relating to the manufacturing of quality dairy products always mindful of company policies and supporting us to deliver on time and target for our customers.

Key Activities & Responsibilities:

Operating and troubleshooting of processing equipment Manufacturing of products to include: pasteurisation, filling, coding, labeling, palletising, manual handling Operating fork lift truck, goods loading and unloading (training can be provided) Goods In acceptance and storage in line with the procedure Weighing of ingredients and following a recipe sheet Cleaning and sanitation of equipment and facilities Completion of all relevant paperwork required for audits Any other reasonable task supporting the operation of the business

Skills and experience:

Previous food manufacturing experience desirable but not required as on the job training will be provided Attention to detail Great team working skills Ability to be flexible and adapt to change as required The role requires some manual handling Ability to work in a fast paced environment, delivering to a deadline

Overtime available over 40 hours at 19.50 per hour 28 Days Holiday Performance bonus (max 1000 per annum) On site training available - eg: Food safety, health and safety, fork lift operation and Chemical handling
