Job Overview
This role works as a stand alone role to effectively carry out the planning, scheduling and materials co-ordination tasks to produce a cohesive production plan that achieves the efficiencies, and targets required to meet our customers' expectations. The Planner is required to work closely with Production and sales to provide a streamlined process from customer order to finished goods.
Responsibilities
To work with internal systems, SAP and MS Office to ensure order volumes are processed, production plans produced, and systems are up to date
To ensure products from external suppliers and internal storage sites are called off in a timely manner, ensuring no production downtime.
To undertake funded CIPS training
To take on procurement responsibility for specific raw material and packaging buying
To manage stock levels of both ingredients, packaging and finished product to balance production requirements and shelf life
To evaluate minimum order quantities, delivery frequencies and stock holdings with suppliers and recommend changes as appropriate.
To manage and support stock counts, adjust on the system and then evaluate and take appropriate action or any corrective measure required
Work with relevant teams on the implementation of the SAP BOM materials project for utilisation in planning
To build lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure any potential issues are managed proactively
Skills
Proficiency in SAP and other ERP systems is essential for effective scheduling and tracking.
Strong understanding of supply chain principles and their impact on production planning.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for liaising with cross-functional teams.
