Job Overview


We are offering a competitive salary and package to hire a detail-oriented and proactive Production Planner/Scheduler to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating production schedules, ensuring optimal use of resources, and maintaining high-quality standards. This position requires a strong understanding of supply chain processes and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to drive continuous improvement and ensure that customer expectations are consistently met.

Duties



Develop and maintain production schedules that align with customer demand business forecasts. Accurately interpret customer requirements from data entered into the planning tools and create detailed production schedules. Schedule orders to maximise efficiency and meet sales forecasts ensuring timely production. Utilise ERP/MRP systems, to track production progress and manage materials effectively. Maintain production PPM schedules updating the system as required. Collaborate with various departments, including procurement, quality control, and assembly teams, to ensure seamless operations. Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement strategies that enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Monitor production performance metrics and adjust schedules as necessary to meet quality standards and delivery timelines. Maintain accurate records of production activities and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders. Manage customer capacity reservations and stock levels, ensuring effective communication regarding changes. Liaise with Transport Administrator to ensure on-time, in full (OTIF) deliveries. Provide support for the Transport Administrator during periods of absence

Requirements



Proven experience in production scheduling or a similar role within a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and practices. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (material planning, production scheduling tools) and strong IT skills, especially in Excel. Strong numeracy skills with the ability to analyse and utilise data for forecasting, capacity planning and demand management. Analytical problem solving skills to identify production bottlenecks, optimise flow and adjust schedules as needed. Demonstrated ability in continuous improvement methodologies and quality control processes. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
