We are currently seeking a highly motivated and decisive Production Planner to join our team in Spalding. You will be a committed and ambitious individual who is seeking to progress your career within the food industry.

Salary/Rate 13.00 - 15.00 dependent on experience

Working on a 4on 4off 06:00-18:00

Who We Are

At David Wood Foods we have over 20 years' experience in the bakery business, and if one thing is clear about our company it's that we're passionate about baking.

We currently produce a range of chilled & frozen ready meals and 'bake off' craft bakery products encompassing Savoury Pastry, Sweet Pastry, Bread, Morning Goods and Confectionery products from seven cutting-edge bakeries around the UK.

The Role

Roles & responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

Plan the manufacturing business units at the optimal efficiencies that maximises profitability while still maintaining the company KPI's in cost, quality, service and Innovation.

This will require customer contact dealing with daily order request, liaison with senior management regarding operational issues, customer issues, and launches/de-listing of products, and communicating out daily production plans.

Take responsibility and accountability for the supply of material to the factory, ensuring that Procedures, Systems and Personnel are utilised and maximised to ensure smooth and efficient operation on a shift to shift basis.

Who You Are

You must be computer literate, with a very good understanding of Microsoft Office, including excellent understanding of Excel. Knowledge of Sage would be beneficial but not necessary as training would be given.

Ideally you will be an existing Production Planner from within the food industry you will be conversant in working to short lead times and in a challenging environment. An excellent team player who is able to communicate effectively across all levels you will also have excellent attention to detail and be flexible in your approach.
