We currently have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Production Planner within our growing Supply Chain Team.
In a nutshell you will be responsible for:
The Production Planner will coordinate the production workflow of one or multiple value streams. Planning and prioritising operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay whilst ensuring any production issues are communicated and if needed escalated to upper management.
What you are already great at:
Raise, schedule, and if required re-schedule production orders to effectively support Material Requirements Planning (MRP) / Master Production Schedule (MPS) requirements.
Liaise with buyers to ensure material availability, to meet production plan.
Release of production orders to production in a timely manner, to ensure plans can be delivered,
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including, procurement, operations and logistics to ensure seamless coordination of production activities.
Communicate production schedules and priorities clearly and effectively to the production team.
Collaborate with supervisors and operators to address & resolve production issues that may arise.
Manage expectations on delivery of all production orders to stock.
Ensure works orders are closed efficiently and accurately on a weekly basis.
Prepare and submit status and performance reports that include but not limited to, On Time to Promise, Launch On Time, Plan Accuracy and Past Due Recovery.
Adhere to the agreed Stock Holding Policies as defined by the business.
Develop best working practice across the planning function, standardising processes across a multi-site business.
For this role we would need you to demonstrate:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment
Identify potential bottlenecks and implement solutions in a timely manner
Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
Excellent organisation and prioritising skills
Experience in using MRP, preferably EFACS or similar (SAP)
Good knowledge of Excel, numeracy, and analytical skills with strong attention to detail Ability to work effectively to deadline.
Organised and proactive individual with experience in manufacturing
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal and ability to build strong working relationships.
Strong team player and collaborates easily with others, willing to help and learn from others and shares relevant information with the team.
Able to demonstrate a creative flair and solve problems.
