Production Planning Manager

to join our team in Attleborough. You will be the linchpin of our operation, overseeing the production planning process to ensure peak efficiency, total compliance, and uncompromising quality.

Are you a credible self-starter who doesn't just wait for instructions--you seek out customer needs and remove "pain points" before they become problems. You know how to inspire a team through support, but you're also comfortable "holding the line" and tackling performance issues decisively.

This isn't just a desk job--you'll be a visible leader, liaising between the production floor and commercial functions, and providing rotating Saturday cover to support our Shift Supervisors.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Scheduling:

Create and manage daily/weekly production schedules to meet customer demand and business goals.

Resource Optimisation:

Lead product utilisation and inventory management (UG & FG) in close collaboration with the Forecast & Packaging Manager.

Operational Liaison:

Act as the vital link between Shift Supervisors and office functions; manage transport logistics and pallet systems.

Commercial Support:

Handle egg trading, Customer liaison and oversee ASN management.

Continuous Improvement:

Analyse data to identify bottlenecks, spot cost-reduction opportunities, and present performance reports to senior management.

Skills & Qualifications

Education:

Degree in Operational Management or a related field.

Experience:

5+ years in production planning or a similar resource-heavy role.

Technical Savvy:

High proficiency in production scheduling software and IT tools.

Analytical Mindset:

Strong problem-solving skills with a methodical, organized approach.

Character:

Energetic, flexible, and happy to go the extra mile.
