Production Shift Leader.
Due to expansion and growth, we have created a brand-new role, reporting into our Production and Facilities Manager, to ensure the smooth running of the production facility working within Health and Safety guidelines and to BRC standards. In addition, you will supervise the team to ensure production teams meet the production plan and work within given KPIs and SLAs.
You will be measured on the achievement of forecasted production runs and the effective and accurate completion of all production administration. We are in the process of implementing a new system so will act as super-user for the Production team and support everyone in the adoption and accurate use of the new system.
You must be a team player - although this role is based within the production team, you will be working closely with planning, warehouse, procurement, technical and commercial.
Duties will include:
As key holder, opening up production and setting the machines to run in line with production plan
Briefing and supervising the team on production plan allocating tasks to ensure workload is covered.
Working really closely with the Warehouse team to ensure raw materials are picked and ready for packing in line with production plan
Programming and carrying out regular QC checks across all production lines, capturing data and issuing reports to technical
Ensuring the full adoption of the new Business Central system in capturing all production data (working hours, breaks, production, QC etc)
Always ensuring production runs within clear health and safety rules
Delivering programmed clean downs in line with schedule to meet BRC standards.
You must have previous experience working in a supervisory role within production, ideally within food packaging. Previous experience in food manufacturing and knowledge of BRC is ideal - as is experience in Vertical Form Fillers. The role demands really high levels of computer literacy as you will form a key part of the team responsible for ensuring the adoption of our new system is as seamless and complete as possible.
