We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and mechanical knowledge, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. This role requires a hands-on approach, working closely with the production team to optimise processes and enhance productivity.

Position Summary



The Production Supervisor oversees the packing hall operations, ensures product traceability and labelling compliance, audits blending accuracy, and supports adherence to SALSA food safety standards in a spice blend manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities



Manage and coordinate the packing hall team for efficient production.

Audit blending operations, verifying documentation for batch traceability.

Oversee paperwork, product transfer, and labelling processes.

Set up and monitor printing, coding, and labelling equipment.

Conduct minor maintenance and troubleshooting of automated equipment.

Uphold housekeeping and hygiene standards to meet SALSA requirements.

Support staff training, disciplinary actions, and workflow prioritisation.

Report to the Production Manager and follow production schedules.

Experience & Previous Work



Supervisory experience in a food production environment preferred.

Experience in training and supervision.

Familiarity with automated filling lines and batch traceability.

Knowledge of food safety systems; SALSA accreditation desirable.

Skills & Qualifications



Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Clean, tidy, and disciplined work habits.

Comfortable leading a small team and managing multiple priorities.

Education



Minimum Higher grade or HNC (or equivalent).

Working Pattern



On-site: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm.

Paid lunch break (45 mins) and morning break (15 mins).

Reporting Lines



Reports to Production Manager overseeing production schedules and works within a team to ensure SALSA compliance.

Pay: 24,420.00-35,000.00 per year
