Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining quality standards, and leading a team of production staff. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work effectively with hand and power tools in a dynamic warehouse environment.

Duties

To supervise and delegate production orders to maintain production schedule and achieve key KPI's on a daily basis. Completion of non-conformance report and escalate to Production Manager/Quality personnel. To maintain a clean and tidy work area by enforcing 5S principles and delegating to team members. Enforce company site rules adhering to company HSE policies. Responsible for training of new operatives & support where required during customer visits. To provide adequate cover in the absence of Production Manager as required. To release material requirements to warehouse function according to production schedule in a timely manner. To escalate any issues that may arise such as missing material, poor material quality and work order errors. Recording and management of production scrap RAW material and finished goods as to agreed system process. Oversee live booking in process of finished orders and correct material consumption including training of end users. Investigate any material reporting errors (COGI) on a daily basis to maintain stock accuracy. Management of attendance including absence reporting of individual operatives within the team and RTW interviews. Conduct individual staff appraisals in line with managers requests. To support Industrilisation team with continuous improvement activities supporting manufacturing processes.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to manufacturing processes. Experience in assembly line work, demonstrating an understanding of production workflows. Previous warehouse experience is advantageous, particularly in a supervisory capacity. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving production goals. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and management.
