Production Supervisors - Food Production

Job Overview

The Department Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production department. This role is crucial to ensure the production processes run smoothly, efficiently, and meet the high standards expected by our retail and foodservice partners.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a production environment, a proven history of managing teams, and the ability to handle multiple production lines simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

This role requires an understanding and/or compliance of the demands of retail and foodservice customers, BRC Audits, Customer Audits, Hygiene and Health Safety practices, KPI's.

Overseeing effective execution of all Production operations on shift.

Overseeing production processes and material flows

Proactively manage the team to meet daily/weekly production demand.

Responsible for ensuring that all products are produced to correct order quantities and despatched to correct customers.

Ensure all KPIs and other targets are achieved within your department.

Maintaining GMP / Housekeeping at a high level.

Ensuring that health and safety regulations are met.

Responsible for ensuring that you and your department meet all hygiene standards.

Providing support to the Production Manager and Technical team

Strong command of English (spoken and written) is essential for effective communication in this role

Proof of right to work in the UK will be required.

Requirements

Previous experience as a

Production Supervisor / Team Leader

in food manufacturing Strong understanding of

food safety, hygiene, and quality systems

Experience managing people in a fast-paced production environment. Good communication and critical thinking skills

Desirable

Food safety qualification (Level 2 or above) Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement
