Overview:
We are looking for a full time Production Supervisor to support the Production Manager in all aspects of operations relating to cheese cutting and packing operations, including, but not limited to, the cutting, packing, labeling and palletising of cheese into various portion sizes to meet legal, quality, safety and customer requirements. Fundamental to this role is leading and supervising a team of staff to carry out the above operations in a logical, timely, efficient, legal and food safe manner.
Duties:
- Day to day supervision of the production operation
- Communicating expectations to the production team and evaluating their performance
- Assist the Production Manager to deliver Toolbox talks and briefings as required
- Ensure a safe working environment by leading on the implementation of the Health & Safety policy , systems and procedures
- Adherence to the GMP quality code of practices to ensure products produced are safe and legal
- Ensure all daily calibration checks are completed and recorded by competent staff
- Ensure production lines are manned adequately on a day to day basis in conjunction with other production supervisors as appropriate
- Deliver production KPI reports and provide management with updates
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Be flexible to cover other roles
