Southwest Sandwich Company are the leading supplier of sandwiches and food-to-go products to retailers and foodservice providers across the Southwest. Originally founded in 1991, we relaunched with renewed energy and ambition and have been growing strongly ever since!
As we scale up our operations, we're looking for a hands-on, forward-thinking Production Supervisor to help us drive the next chapter of growth. You'll begin by supporting our daytime shift, but as we expand into additional evening and overnight operations in the coming months, you'll play a key role in shaping - and potentially leading - these new teams.
If you thrive on the factory floor, know how to get the best from people, and enjoy building strong and efficient processes, this is a brilliant opportunity to step into a growing business and make your mark.
What You'll Be Doing
Supervising daily production activities to deliver consistent output, quality, and efficiency.
Leading, coaching, and supporting operatives to create a positive, high-performing shift culture.
Translating the daily production plan into clear tasks and ensuring the right labour, materials, and resources are in place.
Working closely with the Production Manager, Technical, and Distribution to keep production flowing smoothly.
Ensuring strict compliance with food safety, allergen control, hygiene, and H&S requirements.
Recording accurate production data including output and traceability.
Helping onboard and train new team members as the business grows.
Supporting investigations into errors, complaints, non-conformances, and safety issues.
Championing teamwork, strong communication, and continuous improvement across the site.
Providing the flexibility to transition into evening or night shifts as we launch new shift structures.
What We're Looking For
Experience as a Production Supervisor, Line Leader, or Senior Operative in food manufacturing ideal.
Strong communication and people leadership skills - someone who leads by example.
Good understanding of food safety, basic technical requirements, and factory processes.
Confident on the floor, calm under pressure, and proactive in solving problems.
Organised, reliable, and confident in managing priorities during busy periods.
Comfortable using basic data to drive decisions.
A team player with a positive attitude and a desire to grow with the business.
