About the Role
Reporting directly to the Production Manager, the supervisor is responsible for ensuring a smooth flow of production through the manufacturing line to meet the weekly production targets in the most effective manner
Main Duties & ResponsibilitiesControlling and managing the day to day production levels on the shop floor, to ensure that the targets are achieved. To ensure relevant parts are available in a timely manner. To ensure that the highest quality of product is maintained. To attend and organise the daily and weekly production meetings. To manage the manufacturing team on a daily basis in terms of labour, work instruction, attendance management and any disciplinary and grievance issues that may arise. To promote health & safety within the work place. To ensure the line is run in accordance with lean manufacturing practices and principals. To carry out any other reasonable duties that may be required from time to time. Ensure compliance to all general site Rules, Regulations and Policies. To promote and maintain compliance to all Health and Safety Regulations.

About youCandidates should be qualified to minimum of GCSE level or equivalent. Significant production experience gained in a highly pressured manufacturing environment. Experience and proven track record of Supervisory and /or people management is essential An understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques an advantage. Computer literate and experience of Oracle /ERP systems Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work to and meet strict deadlines and able to adapt to changing priorities & goals. Good team player and able to work on own initiative.
