Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for all operational areas of a shift to ensure that you make quality products you are proud of in a safe and efficient manner. In addition, you will ensure that planning and productivity targets are achieved on time, to specification and within agreed cost standards, in order to meet customer requirements.

This role is based on a continental shift pattern of days, nights and weekends. The shift pattern means employees work 7 days in every 14 days.

Duties

Maintain shift health, safety, hygiene and security standards, ensuring adherence to company and legal requirements. Deliver a consistently high level of product. Monitor KPI performance for your team and ensure that targets are met When on shift, act as principal decision maker on the factory floor, ensuring practices and procedures are maintained. Lead and develop your team. Manage any people issues on your team and assist in the recruitment and onboading of new employees In collaboration with colleagues, actively seek and apply continuous improvement to all processes. Promote CI techniques as part of the Production management team. Proactively work with other teams on site to ensure fast and effective delivery Any other duties deemed necessary to fulfill the position.

Requirements

Ability to work continental shift pattern including days, nights and weekends Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment Expertise in Operational/Production management procedures and continuous improvement practices Strong knowledge of operational/production KPI's Ability to motivate and lead a team effectively
