At 4e Futures, we're not your average contract electronics manufacturer. With over 25 years in industry, and hundreds of projects under serving the medical and defence industries. We have a passion for solving problems for our client regardless of whether that's designing something new or providing manufacturing excellence, we're looking for a new Production Supervisor.
We need someone who knows their resistors from their regulators, and who thrives in a fast-paced, flexible production environment. You'll be a key cog in the machine that ensures quality, efficiency, and collaboration across engineering, assembly, and supply chain.
Responsibilities
Day-to-day oversight of our production floor - including PCBA, sub-assemblies, final assembly and test.
Scheduling and prioritising builds in collaboration with Ops and business development.
Working closely with production and engineering on new product introductions (NPI), prototyping, and continuous improvement.
Supporting engineering change and tweaks in real-time - we don't always receive a perfect build pack, and that's part of how we support our clients.
Ensuring that ISO 13485 standards are met.
Working alongside the assemblers in daily production.
Helping spot DFM (Design for Manufacture) improvements and feeding them back to the design team.
Troubleshooting, process improvements, root cause analysis - and generally keeping the wheels on.
Assisting with customer audits and quality reviews
Upholding 4e's reputation as the best-kept secret in British manufacturing.
Experience
Solid experience in electronics manufacturing or contract electronics (CEM/EMS) - ideally some supervisory or senior operator experience.
Understanding of surface-mount and through-hole assembly processes.
Comfortable with engineering drawings, BOMs, and process documents.
Natural problem solver - we're after someone who can find issues as well just fixes them.
Excellent communicator - you'll be the link between the shop floor, engineering, and management.
Quality-focused mindset with an understanding of ISO 13485.
Experience using ERP/MRP systems we use Business Central.
Able to prioritise under pressure and manage multiple jobs in parallel.
What You'll Get
The chance to work on fascinating, meaningful projects - from medical innovations to specialist defence systems.
