Overview


We are seeking an experienced and proactive Production Supervisor to oversee daily Production operations within our Attenuators facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, and a keen eye for quality control. This role is vital in ensuring production targets are met efficiently while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

The Production Supervisor role involves liaison with Team Leaders to outline expectations in terms of the production schedule and providing the information the Team Leader requires to achieve these expectations. They are then responsible for monitoring performance against these objectives and reporting to the Production Manager. Liaison with Suppliers and Head Office will also be required to ensure that the Company's Objectives are achieved.

Responsibilities



Oversee Team Leaders to ensure:

Maintains health & safety compliance requirements including daily completion of 5S/Safety Checklist All areas are tidied at 3.15pm each day Job Progress is updated by 08:30, 10:30, 13:30 and 15:30 Effective management of stock levels and place Purchase Orders (POs) as required. This includes consolidation of consumables to single location for stock take
Spot check the quality of products produced and resolve accordingly where issues are found, in partnership with the Supervisor when necessary

Evaluate labour levels within Attenuators daily to ensure sufficient labour is available throughout the week

Review daily with Team Leader all projects overdue against their manufacture dates

Review daily with Team Leader the work load for the following day and ensure adequate labour is available

Review weekly performance of Team Leader and provide feedback (constructive and positive)

Batch work and issue to Fabrication in a timely manner in order to achieve deliveries and keep the shop floor loaded

Liaise with Operations (Project Engineers/Managers & Sales Support) regarding projects where requirements may not be met

Update & Amend 5S safety checklist to be correspond to Team Leader areas. Construct system of checking for Supervisors and Managers

Managers to update figures at these times and assess performance based upon these figures

Requirements



Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Good team ethic, understands how to maintain team motivations and create a fair work environment where team members feel included Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently. Experience with assembly processes and quality control procedures. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills to lead teams effectively and liaise with other departments. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Relevant qualifications or certifications in manufacturing or engineering are advantageous but not essential.
