Here at Growth Technology Ltd we are a well-established and respected plant nutrient manufacturer supplying the commercial horticulture and garden centre markets, with a reputation for excellence in all we do. We are a family run business and have been operating since 1985.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Supervisor to join our busy team in Taunton. Within this role you will be supporting our Production Manager. This is a varied role, getting stuck into different tasks! Long-term progression opportunities could be available for the right candidate.

This is a permanent role, which is full-time, working on site Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

Main duties include:

Supervise daily production operations to ensure efficient and timely production of goods.

Ensure that production targets are met on time and within budget

Monitor production processes to ensure that products meet the required quality standards

Develop and implement production schedules and procedures

Train and motivate production staff to ensure that they work effectively and safely

Conduct with the Production Manager performance evaluations and provide feedback to production staff

Cross-functional collaboration with other departments to ensure smooth production

Operations

Monitor stock levels and ensure that materials are available for production

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies at all times maintaining GMP

Strive for Continuous Improvement identifying ways of eliminating unnecessary cost and wastage

Work closely with the Production Manager at all times, taking responsibility in the Manager's absence

What we're looking for:

Previous experience as a Supervisor in a manufacturing environment

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal

Adaptable and proactive with the ability to multi-task and prioritise appropriately

Able to work independently and take the initiative in managing people

Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail

Ability to build rapport with all colleagues
