About the Role



We are seeking a proactive and analytical individual to join our production team as a

Production Support Administrator

. This role plays a key part in supporting LEAN

MRP/ERP systems

processes, ensuring accurate shop floor data transactions, and driving efficiency through system-led improvements. You will report directly to the Production Manager and work alongside the Production Team Leaders to maintain high operational standards, ensure on-time delivery (OTIF), and support continuous improvement initiatives across the department. This role requires strong cross-functional collaboration to align operations, engineering, and supply chain teams toward achieving production efficiency and quality goals.

Key Responsibilities



Assist the Team Leaders in training, monitoring, and auditing

LEAN MRP/ERP systems transactions and processes

on the shop floor to ensure accurate and timely completion of all job tickets. Generate

labels, shipping documentation

, and other production paperwork to aid product despatch. Monitor production schedules and output, identify performance gaps, and help develop solutions to achieve OTIF (On Time In Full) targets. Support the identification and implementation of

efficiency improvements

using LEAN principles (e.g., process timings, waste reduction, workflow improvements). Collaborate with Team Leaders to maintain and update the

training database

, identifying skill gaps and ensuring all documentation and SOPs are accurate and current. Assist in the

development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

as required. Actively participate in

6S, Kaizen, root cause analysis

, and other continuous improvement activities. Support the Production Manager in promoting and maintaining

Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance

, including risk assessments and corrective actions. Collect, analyse, and report production data using

Microsoft Office tools

(Excel, Word, PowerPoint) to support decision-making. Utilise and maintain

LEAN MRP/ERP systems

to ensure LEAN continuity and production accuracy, particularly in the Team Leader's absence. Attend and participate in regular

cross-functional meetings

between Production, Supply Chain, Engineering and Customer Service departments Undertake any other reasonable tasks as required by the Production Manager.

Person Specification



Essential Skills and Experience:



Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail. Proven experience working within a

manufacturing or production environment

. Practical experience supporting

LEAN principles

and continuous improvement processes. Confident in using

LEAN MRP/ERP systems

for production tracking, data input, and reporting. Highly proficient in

Microsoft Office applications

, particularly Excel (data analysis, pivot tables, charts). Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and communicate findings effectively. Strong organisational and time management skills; able to manage multiple priorities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Understanding of

Health, Safety, and Environmental

practices within a production setting.

Desirable Skills:



Formal LEAN or Six Sigma training or certification. Experience developing or delivering staff training. Knowledge of production scheduling tools and performance reporting systems. Previous involvement in Kaizen, 5S/6S, or similar improvement activities.
