Food Works SW, Weston-super-Mare

, we manufacture and ship our products nationwide -- bringing better-for-you desserts to thousands of customers every week.

As we scale up production, we're looking for a

Production Team Leader

to help us maintain our high standards and drive the next phase of growth.

The Role

You'll be responsible for

leading day-to-day production operations

, ensuring products are made, packed, and shipped efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality. You'll oversee a small team of 2-3 operatives, helping to build structure and consistency as we grow.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and motivate a small production team during daily shifts Manage ingredient batching, mixing, and product assembly to recipe standards Oversee packaging, labelling, and order fulfilment processes Monitor and maintain food safety, hygiene, and quality control standards Manage stock levels, materials usage, and production documentation Support and train new team members in production procedures Assist management with production planning, efficiency, and process improvements Ensure a clean, safe, and well-organised working environment

About You

We're looking for someone reliable, driven, and ready to take ownership. You'll have experience in a

food production, manufacturing, or kitchen environment

, and you'll thrive in a hands-on, fast-paced setting.

Ideal Skills & Attributes:

Experience leading or supervising a small team (in food, manufacturing, or hospitality) Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety standards Organised and methodical with great attention to detail Confident using production equipment (mixers, depositors, sealers, etc.) Positive, energetic, and able to motivate others Eager to contribute ideas and grow with the company
(Food hygiene training and all technical training provided.)

(On-site parking available, easily accessible from central Weston and surrounding areas.)

What We Offer

Pay:

13.00 - 18.00 per hour (DOE) + performance bonuses

Contract:

Full-time, permanent (with flexible working hours)

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm (occasional weekends if required)
