Guardian Shield Doors Ltd is a certified fire door manufacturer based in Milton Keynes. We are expanding our manufacturing operations and seeking

Production Technicians

to support the day-to-day build of high quality, certified fire door sets. You'll work with industrial machinery in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment and report to both the Production Manager and the Operations & Technical Manager.

If you're hands-on, mechanically minded, and looking to grow in a new factory that blends modern equipment with traditional craftsmanship, this is the role for you.

Duties

Operate machinery including beam saw, edge bander, CNC machines, hot press, and sander. Assemble door sets with accuracy using both hand tools and power tools Follow detailed manufacturing drawings and work instructions Assist with prepping, labelling, and finishing of doors, frames, and hardware Perform quality checks throughout the assembly and finishing process Work to production schedules and support workflow targets Keep your station, tools, and work areas clean, safe, and organised Safely handle and store materials in the assembly and goods-out areas Identify faults early and report maintenance issues to the Production Manager Follow all Health & Safety procedures, including dust extraction and LEV controls

Qualifications & Experience

Previous experience in a joinery workshop, door manufacturing, or factory setting Familiarity with woodworking machinery and mechanical equipment Skilled in safe use of hand tools (drills, jigsaws, routers, etc.) and power tools Strong attention to detail and quality of finish Ability to read production instructions, labels, and cutting lists Physically fit and comfortable working on your feet throughout the day Proactive, reliable, and calm under pressure Forklift licence desirable but not essential
