45 hours (Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 18:00pm, 30 minutes unpaid break)

The Role

My client is looking for an upbeat and self-motivated Event Production Technician to join their rapidly expanding team in an exciting and busy period.

As an Event Production Technician, you will help produce and execute an exciting portfolio of projects and activations with a range of industry leading clients across the Technology, Fashion and Drinks sectors.

The role is varied and requires a strong technical background, with an all-round knowledge of using audio-visual equipment in the live and experiential marketing environments.

The Responsibilities:

  • Set up, prepare, and test equipment in the technical production department prior to it going to site.
  • De preparation of Jobs arriving back at the warehouse.
  • Planning, managing, and overseeing technical and scenic installations at events taking responsibility for their implementation on site and subsequent safe removal.
  • Onsite delivery and management of technical power, light and sound.
  • Briefing of freelance crew.
  • Leading as an site technician during events and shows.
  • Support the maintenance team on equipment repairs at the warehouse as required.
  • Advising Account Managers on more complex technical elements of live events.
  • Proactively keeping up to date with the latest technology, rigging, power and safety procedures.
  • Event logistics.
  • On site build management.
  • On site client communication.
The Candidate:
  • Full driving licence
  • 5+ Years of event industry experience (preferably in a technician or management role)
  • A strong working knowledge of technical equipment across a variety of event sectors (live, experiential, set, sound, rigging, light, power, logistics)
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as a key team member.
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Calm under pressure and good time management
  • A \xe2\x80\x99can do\xe2\x80\x99 attitude and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise and organise workload.
  • Reliability and dependability.
  • Articulate and well accustomed to a client facing role.
  • Level-headed and diplomatic problem-solver.
  • A good level of commercial awareness.
  • Self-motivated, upbeat, and energised individual.
  • Flexible and willing take on a variety of task
  • Confident IT skills (Google suite use preferable)
  • Knowledge and use of CAD software (Sketchup, Vectorworks, AutoCAD)
  • Plant tickets - Forklift, picker, telehandler
  • Any industry standard qualifications (plant tickets, H&S, first aid etc)
  • Knowledge Of Chamsys, L Acoustics Network Manager.
  • BS7909 Qualification
