Production Technician



As a

Production Technician

, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of automated manufacturing processes. You will operate, maintain, and troubleshoot production equipment, using lean manufacturing principles to maximise efficiency and minimise down time, while ensuring products meet quality standards. Duties include following production schedules, monitoring processes, planned maintenance, and ensuring safety procedures are followed as the highest priority.



This role is 100% onsite at our Southend-on-Sea location, and will follow a weekly rotational shift pattern of 6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10pm.

Key Responsibilities



Perform regular planned maintenance tasks on equipment to prevent breakdowns and keep it in good working order. Identify and resolve technical problems with equipment and processes. Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment maintenance, and quality control data. Working with other departments, such as quality control and engineering, to improve production processes. Operate and monitor production equipment to ensure optimal performance. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work environment.

Key Skills and Qualifications



Strong understanding of machinery, equipment, and manufacturing processes is crucial, with a focus on preventative maintenance and repair. Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with strong knowledge of production processes and equipment. Industry led qualifications in electrical and/or mechanical engineering principles. Proficiency in use of computer systems as well as good numeracy skills. Familiarity with safety standards and protocols in a manufacturing setting.
