Typical Activities
Working in collaboration with internal stakeholders across Engineering, Quality, and Managed Services, the Production Technician will support the build, test and delivery of electronic products within a secure production environment.
Assemble, test and repair electronic and mechanical products to defined standards.
Maintain accurate and detailed build and test records.
Provide regular progress updates to the Production Manager.
Assist in quality inspections, investigations, and process improvements.
Troubleshoot issues and support root cause analysis activities.
Assist in developing and maintaining Production Work Instructions (WIs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Support the transition of new products from Engineering to Production.
Collaborate with Engineering and Support teams to resolve production incidents.
Train production operators on updated assembly and test processes.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and security requirements.
What we're looking for
Experience working in a production environment with electronic and mechanical assemblies.
Strong troubleshooting and structured problem-solving skills.
Proficiency using Windows-based applications.
Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and printed circuit assembly (PCA) schematics.
Understanding of traceability and quality control within a production environment.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality and security.
Self-motivated with good time management and ownership of deliverables.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Flexible and adaptable approach to new technologies and processes.
Strong communication skills, with enthusiasm for improving customer experience.
Desirable
Experience reworking PCAs, including SMT components, to IPC-610/J-STD-001 standards.
Experience fault-finding to component level.
Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience using Linux operating systems.
Familiarity with Jira and Confluence tools.

Have relevant experience in a production or electronics assembly environment; and,
Be a British citizen; and
Hold or be eligible for UK National Security Vetting (NSV) -
