Salt Express Ltd are one of the UKs most dynamic salt distributors/processors and are a leading specialist in nationwide bulk deliveries via salt powder tankers and curtainsided vehicles.

We are looking for a

professional

experienced class 1 LGV driver. ( Bulk Powder Tanker training will be given to the successful candidate ) to work out of various locations across the UK . The position can require up to 4 nights out per week with tax free night out allowances as the successful candidate will make national deliveries, working using a range of differing vehicles and trailers/tankers.

The Ideal candidates will have along with experience of driving , the capabilities of working to a consistently high standard in todays quality driven and demanding environment.

The Roll :

- The role involves both local and national deliveries working using a range of differing vehicles and their equipment.

- You must be able to meet with the physical demands of the job including but not limited to, the loading and unloading of the vehicles, working at height and in all weathers.

- You must have sound awareness of Health and Safety.

The successful candidate will :

- Have at least two years driving experience at LGV 1/C+E standard

- No DD nor DR Driving Licence Code Convictions.

- Be willing to work away from home each week ( Monday through to Friday potentially , occasional Saturdays.)

- Driver CPC required and up to date

- Full digital tachograph knowledge of operation

- Understand and able to comply with Driver's hours and WTD legislation

- Able to understand and carry out necessary vehilce checks to ensure vehilce safety and able to report defects correctly

- Possess great attention to detail and have pride in their work

- Must give good customer service. Should have excellent communication skills
