The Streaming, Social & Programmatic team at Channel 4, under the leadership of the Head of Streaming, Social & Programmatic, brings together digital experts dedicated to advancing Channel 4's digital sales products. This team is strategically divided into two specialised areas: Streaming & Social Sales, overseen by the Streaming & Social Sales Leader, which focuses on the sale of digital products and propositions related to streaming and social media; and Programmatic & Data, led by the Programmatic & Data Sales Leader, which concentrates on programmatic advertising and the sale and development of data-driven products. All are committed to continual innovation, ensuring our offerings and sales narrative are industry-leading while delivering exceptional customer service and achieving the unified Streaming revenue target

The Programmatic and Data Sales Team





The Programmatic and Data team at Channel 4, led by the Programmatic and Data Sales Leader, heads up a team of digital experts dedicated to selling and enhancing Channel 4's digital programmatic and data propositions. The Programmatic and Data Sales team drives advertising revenue through working closely with customers' programmatic teams to automate ad buying, whilst leveraging data insights to enhance audience targeting. The programmatic sales team is also tasked with managing relationships with demand-side platforms (DSPs) to maximise capabilities and to ensure we have a best-in-class offering that meets with and exceeds our customer's requirements. The team are the experts in our data offering and is responsible for enhancing and developing our first-party viewer data strategy to build targeted audience segments, offering advertisers valuable insights amid evolving data privacy regulations like GDPR.







JOB PURPOSE





The Programmatic & Data Sales Lead, reporting directly to the Programmatic and Data Sales Leader, is a key contributor to hitting and exceeding the digital sales revenue target through the sale and management of programmatic guaranteed, data sales targeting and Private Marketplace offerings to our customers and clients.




The Programmatic & Data Sales Lead plays an important role in supporting the P&D Leader in executing the sales strategy defined by the Customer and Commercial Leader. Tasked with maximising commercial revenue within a specific agency and client portfolio, the Lead focuses on delivering Channel 4's programmatic and data suite of products to customers. Beyond sales, the Lead ensures excellent agency service levels, actively contributes to fostering a dynamic and professional team environment and plays a key role in building and maintaining senior agency contacts across digital, TV, and planning departments. Additionally, the Lead provides essential support to senior management in the smooth day-to-day running of the department, showcasing a multifaceted commitment to sales success, client relationships, team development, and operational efficiency.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Lead and manage the daily sales activities across your defined patch to maximise revenue and meet the defined revenue target. Manage and track revenues, communicating any risks to target to the leader. Build and maintain a high market profile with senior agency contacts within the defined agency group, informing them fully of the Channel 4 Programmatic and Data proposition. Lead the pitch of Programmatic and Data products to agencies, including new products, propositions, and platforms. Develop and create compelling sales materials that clearly articulate the Programmatic and Data Streaming and Social Sales proposition. These materials should be used in pitches and when proactively selling. Maintain and construct ongoing support and training materials to ensure all internal commercial teams comprehensively understand Channel 4's Streaming and Social sales proposition. Work closely with the Customer and Client teams to promote Programmatic and Data ensuring they are accurately represented in cross-platform brief responses. Manage agency relationships continuously, serving as the escalation point for digital issues. Mentor and develop junior team members, ensuring they have high market visibility and a reputation for sales excellence. Contribute to maintaining a stimulating, dynamic, and innovative sales environment.



ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & SKILLS


5+ years in online and digital sales, with comprehensive experience of CTV sales. Excellent understanding of digital commercial strategies with the ability to implement such strategies. Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to create persuasive and impactful sales presentations, framing a problem or solution visually and creatively. Good understanding of the technical aspects of non-linear, including all emerging technologies. Excellent presentational skills - ability to create persuasive, impactful sales presentations/ability to frame a problem/solution visually and creatively Advanced client management skills to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business to maximise ongoing revenues. Complex negotiation skills are essential to resolve any conflict between stakeholders. Ability to turn data, facts, and evidence into compelling and persuasive sales stories



Basic salary per annum starting from



71,094.00
