The team
Our Programme Administration & Support Service (PASS) provides a professional administrative service to students and academic staff across our Academic Schools based on our York and London campuses. Our ethos is to hold the student experience at the heart of everything we do, and we strive to provide a quality of service at all times.
The role
For the role of PASS Advisor, we are seeking to appoint a highly experienced administrator who is proactive, self-motivated and an excellent communicator.
Whilst you may support activities across all Schools at York St John, on a day-to-day basis you will act as a point of contact for our London-based team, the Student Hub, students and external contacts, delivering a variety of administrative activities associated with academic programme delivery arising primarily from our London Campus . These activities include arranging and minuting meetings, supporting with assessment activities such as processing student assignment extensions, assisting with travel booking arrangements and working closely with our Student Hub team and our CRM to manage student queries.
You may be allocated a specific programme area to act as an administrative lead and will be called upon to support the wider PASS team in response to changing demands. This will provide a great opportunity to build relationships with not only London-based colleagues but also the wider York St John community, providing advice and guidance to a variety of people.
Required skills and experience
You will have experience of working within an office environment and have an excellent standard of computer literacy with standard software (Microsoft word, excel, Outlook and online collaborative software such as MS Teams etc.). Experience of working with Customer Relationship Management software would also be ideal. A professional approach, strong ability to multi-task, problem-solving skills and willingness to work as effectively and efficiently as possible to provide a high-quality service is essential. You will be a team player and have the ability to communicate at all levels with a cross-section of people.

Flexible, hybrid working is available with some presence on our beautiful city centre York campus as determined by business need.
It is anticipated that the selection process will include an interview and written tasks.
