Programme Delivery Resettlement Officer -

1 x 37 hours Permanent Contract, working days Monday to Saturday. Specific hours to be negotiated and agreed.



Flexible working, outside office hours, is expected. This includes evenings and weekends.



Based at Sir Henry Mitchell House, 4 Manchester Road, Bradford BD5 0QL

Bradford Youth Justice Service (YJS) is a dynamic, positive organisation. In 2019 Bradford Youth Offending Team received The John Hawkins Award for Innovation and Creativity in Youth Justice and People Can quality kitemark for volunteers. The YJS benefits from the support and confidence of a wide network of partners from the statutory and voluntary sectors.


The Service is looking for a permanent Programme Delivery Resettlement Officers who will develop and deliver direct work to children and young adults within the criminal justice system, including the coordination and provision of interventions for those children and young adults on bail, and subject to voluntary and statutory orders. Programme Delivery Resettlement Officers work directly with case managers and professionals from other agencies to address concerns about the safety of the child and other people, alongside undertaking duties with children, young adults, parents and victims within National Standards established by the Youth Justice Board for England and Wales and within current or future Government legislation.


You can help assist us in our aim of preventing and reducing youth crime and reaching positive outcomes for our children and young adults. You will work within the statutory provisions of the Criminal Justice framework undertaking a key role within the service.

To be successful in this role you will need:



A minimum of three GCSEs, grades A - C including English, or equivalent. A minimum of one year experience of working with children and young people with complex needs, in a voluntary or paid capacity, or be able to demonstrate this through transferrable skills within a similar role. Experience within the criminal justice system or relevant/equivalent area Experience of multi-agency working and/or working with statutory agencies Experience of working with risk and/or safeguarding. Have a full UK driving licence, unless a disability prevents this.
