Brief Description
In this role you will play an integral part in driving performance improvements through timetable changes. You will work closely with Operators, funders, and key stakeholders across the Southern Railway System to progress timetable changes, which may be significant recasts or small incremental changes to improve performance. The role comes at an exciting time, offering an opportunity to be involved in shaping how timetable changes take place under GBR, with Southeastern and SWR already fully nationalised, and GTR making the transition in mid-2026.#
About the role (External)
A key part of this role will be to develop and deliver a specific programme of work on time and to budget within corporate guidelines. An ability to manage the effective development and management of suppliers and staff to meet all corporate standards will be required, in particular those relating to safety, quality and environment.
The successful candidate will manage the effective development and management of suppliers to meet Programme requirements, developing and managing the Programme team. You'll have the ability to maintain effective relationships with key investment customers and stakeholders so that all communications with outside bodies are agreed. You will undertake accident investigation and comply with the Investment Competence Framework. Do you have

A relevant professional qualification with chartered status?
Experience in management of major programmes of work in the rail industry?
Construction design management competence?
Experience in Accident investigation?
Strong commercial and financial focus as well as knowledge of Health and Safety legislation?
