What you would be doing

In this role, you will take the lead in managing the design, organisation and delivery of

our CPD & Skills Development programmes. Your work will ensure participants -

ranging from industry professionals to academics - gain the skills and insights they

need to thrive. You'll guide and inspire your team, oversee budgets, and work closely

with colleagues across Imperial and beyond to deliver impactful, high-quality

programmes. Flexibility is the key, and you will be the steady hand behind the scenes

and making sure every detail is seamless


What we are looking for

Proven experience in staff management and the ability to motivate, support and
grow a team.
Experience in working with academic and industry professionals. Managing and developing programmes - a bonus if that's within higher education. An analytical mindset with hands-on experience in financial planning and budget
management.
The flexibility and resilience to juggle multiple projects and adapt to shifting
priorities.
Clear, diplomatic, and persuasive communication skills, with confidence in
engaging people at all levels.
A love of the challenge of turning ideas into practice and an ability to thrive when
working with diverse people and perspectives.
The capacity to navigate complexity, build relationships and champion the
transformative power of learning

This role is part of the Professional Development and Summer Programmes team

within Imperial College London's Institute of Extended Learning. It plays a central role

in designing, delivering, and managing a diverse portfolio of initiatives--including

summer and winter schools, hosted programmes, open and bespoke courses, and

micro-credentials. The role oversees a portfolio of continuing professional

development programmes, ensuring learners enjoy engaging, high-quality educational

experiences. It coordinates programmes, supports academic and administrative teams,

and fosters meaningful connections between participants, academics, and industry.



This is a full-time, open ended post based at the South Kensington Campus.
