An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Programme Manager (GLAM) to join us on a permanent basis to support the University's digital transformation journey, particularly as that relates to the University's world-leading Gardens, Libraries, and Museums.

About the Role
As well as being a part of Oxford's rich environment of teaching, learning and research, the University's Gardens, Libraries, and Museums are world-renowned cultural institutions in their own right and are the custodians of unique and distinctive collections that they have a responsibility both to care for as well as to make available to students, academics, researchers, and the general public.
Oxford's GLAM units also play a central role in the University's community and public engagement activities enabling local and global visitors to engage with the University and its remarkable collections and learning.
The Programme Manager (GLAM) is responsible for understanding GLAM's digital needs and for implementing, and overseeing the continuous improvement of, the digital services relating to the management, discovery, and engagement with GLAM's physical and digital collections.
As the University's digital transformation advances, the Programme Manager (GLAM) will also support the design and implementation of the new digital operating model within GLAM to facilitate the ongoing continuous improvement of GLAM's digital services in line with user requirements and University strategy.
About You
Demonstrated success in managing multiple concurrent projects and initiatives, with combined budgets around 1m/year, ideally within a wider programme context.
A track record of building strong relationships, engaging confidently with diverse stakeholders, and contributing effectively to project board decision-making.
Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams that include both GLAM and IT Services staff, with a focus on setting clear goals and priorities to drive impactful delivery.
Ability to provide direction to Project Managers, offering guidance on approach and resolving escalated issues where necessary.
Sound understanding of GLAM's aims and operational context, with the capability to interpret high-level business needs and translate them into a structured, deliverable programme of work.
A confident (or ready-to-be confident) leader who can work collaboratively with GLAM stakeholders to support the delivery and improvement of digital services in line with strategic objectives.
