We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading telecommunications clients! They are currently looking for a skilled Programme Manager to join their team for a six-month contract.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives
We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to join our Governance & Programmes team and lead the NSE aspects. As well as managing this programme, the Programme Manager will be responsible for setting up a replicable framework for use by NSE in possible further acquisition integrations.
The role will work across technical SMEs in NSE to understand their requirements, workstreams and dependencies and frame the overall project.
Our projects are run using approved milestones and recognised project management methodologies, Waterfall and Agile. This role will provide the necessary technical input to ensure successful project viability, start-up through to project closure.

Project planning and managing key NSE activities in support of integration, applying recognised programme management good practice.
Act as lead liaison point between NSE and wider Programme Management of the integration.
Driving progress and necessary collaboration and alignment of NSE activities with respect to integration.
Reporting progress accurately and escalating issues where appropriate.
Establish a repeatable approach/framework for managing integration of newly acquired companies.
Ensure correct process and governance is set up and followed in line with the appropriate delivery methodology and the relevant business unit processes to ensure delivery is achieved.
Creation and management of projects and product deliverables together with associated quality project documentation, ensuring that all documentation meets the required defined quality standards.
Reporting complex issues in simple report format to key stakeholders and sponsors.
Scoping, planning and designing the deliverables and proactively monitoring overall progress, resolving issues, and initiating corrective action plans as appropriate, to ensure successful delivery to meet agreed targets.
Organise, motivate and work with virtual teams to ensure effective delivery.
Document and report on all project risks, issues and dependencies.
Ensure project dependencies are aligned and reported on, to ensure maximum efficiency and synergies.
Ensure effective Project delivery through standardised project and resource management methods.
Writing a replicable approach/guidelines/templates to guide subsequent integration activities in NSE.

Required Skills/Experience

The ideal candidate will have the following:
Proven track record of leading integration projects in a complex business environments.
The ability to manage virtual teams working on a number of concurrent large cross functional projects with a successful track record of delivering such projects.
Experience in a multi-disciplined and commercial environment.
Knowledge of risk trade off options and their impact on project success.
Ability to understand complex organisational designs and structures and understands how to relate these to the project being managed.
Experience of telecoms sector, allowing the candidate to hit the ground running.
Advanced stakeholder management, negotiation and conflict management skills.
Ability to respond to challenging priorities with a sense of urgency and pace.
Recognised by a Project management institution as an accredited Project professional to APMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent, Agile Practitioner.
