About the Role
As Programme Manager, you will lead the next phase of the Academic Career and Reward Framework (ACRF), overseeing four key workstreams: Academic Pathways, Workload, Reward & Recognition, and Academic Contracts and Governance. You'll work closely with senior academic leaders, HR, and governance bodies, managing high-level relationships and supporting both the Project Sponsor (PVC level) and subject matter experts. Strategic alignment with wider programmes and effective communication of updates to governance groups will be key, alongside deputising for the Programme Lead as needed.
You'll be responsible for ensuring the programme runs smoothly and is implementation-ready. This includes managing workstream integration, programme governance, risk resolution, and benefits realisation. You will also be expected to champion digital innovation, including the use of AI tools to reduce administrative burden, and conduct financial modelling to support business cases and decision-making.
You will line manage a dedicated Project Manager and foster a high-performing, development-focused environment. You'll play a hands-on role in resource management, planning, and delivery while promoting excellence in stakeholder engagement and team coordination. A high level of discretion, organisation, and attention to detail will be essential throughout.
This role meets the criteria for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa. The University will meet the cost of the Skilled Worker visa and NHS surcharge for applicants that require a visa.
Please let us know in your application if you require sponsorship.
