Programme Manager
to join our dynamic team, supporting our prestigious High Street Banking Clients. These roles will focus on managing external fabric works and Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) workstreams across a national property portfolio.
About the Role
As a Programme Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction programmes, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. These client-facing roles demand excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills to oversee multiple concurrent refurbishment, M&E, and maintenance projects while ensuring programme compliance, cost control, risk management, and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Coordination
: Lead the delivery of external fabric work programmes (e.g., roofing, facades, windows, masonry, structural repairs) and M&E workstreams, managing schedules, dependencies, risks, and change control to meet time, budget, and quality goals.
Documentation & Reporting
: Maintain accurate programme documentation, prepare progress reports, and align with PMO governance standards.
Risk & Issue Management
: Identify and mitigate risks, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and promote a safe working environment.
Communication & Stakeholder Management
: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, facilitate effective communication, and provide regular updates, dashboards, and strategic insights through programme meetings.
Team Leadership
: Motivate and lead project teams, fostering collaboration and resolving conflicts to achieve project objectives.
Client Relationship Management
: Build and maintain strong client relationships, addressing concerns promptly and ensuring expectations are met.
What We're Looking For
Proven experience as a Programme Manager in the construction industry, ideally with a main contractor.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and regulations.
Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience managing large-scale construction projects in the UK.
Professional certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive under pressure while meeting tight deadlines.
