Job Description

NETGAIN is a pioneering NERC-funded Doctoral Focal Award designed to develop a new generation of scientist-practitioners capable of advancing nature markets and biodiversity net gain (BNG) through interdisciplinary research, policy, and practice. Spanning four leading Higher Education Institutions and a large and growing network of external partners, NETGAIN will deliver innovative, evidence-driven, training to tackle critical knowledge and skills gaps.



Working across four universities, the Programme Manager will play a leading role in the successful delivery and development of NETGAIN, overseeing and supporting operational, administrative, and stakeholder engagement aspects of the programme. This position requires an exceptional organiser and communicator, capable of navigating academic, industry, and governmental interfaces to support the programme's strategic vision and day-to-day function.

This post will be primarily based in the School of Mathematics and Statistics in the Observatory which is the home of the interdisciplinary Center for research into Ecological and Environmental Modelling.
