Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled Programmer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in various programming languages and technologies, with a focus on developing robust software solutions. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining applications while ensuring optimal performance and security. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Duties



Develop, test, and maintain high-quality software applications using languages such as Python, Java, C#, and Ruby on Rails. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and specifications. Design system architecture and implement solutions using microservices and service-oriented architecture principles. Manage databases using SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL technologies. Ensure application security by implementing information security best practices, including firewall configurations and VPN setups. Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including continuous integration and deployment processes using tools like Git, Jenkins, and Docker. Troubleshoot and debug applications to enhance functionality and performance. Provide system administration support across various operating systems including Windows, Linux, and UNIX. Engage in virtualisation technologies such as VMware and Azure for efficient resource management. Document code changes and system designs to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.

Experience


The successful candidate should have experience or familiarity with the following skills:

Computer networking concepts including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and load balancing. Cloud services such as AWS or Azure. Development frameworks including .NET for web services. Familiarity with RESTful APIs and SOAP protocols. Knowledge of DevOps practices for streamlined development processes. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash (Unix shell) or PowerShell. Understanding of debugging techniques across various platforms. Experience with system engineering principles related to solution architecture.
