We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be highly experienced and be proficient in operating CNC lathes to produce precision components. You will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, ensuring that all parts meet stringent quality standards and specifications. This position requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
The job will also involve operating other machines as and when required - training will be provided if necessary.
Duties
Program and operate CNC lathes to fabricate and assemble precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Interpret technical drawings and CAD files.
Conduct regular inspections of machinery and tools to ensure optimal performance.
Perform tooling changes and basic maintenance on CNC equipment.
Utilise hand tools for assembly and adjustments as necessary.
Manage materials handling, ensuring that all materials are stored correctly and safely.
Collaborate with team members to improve production processes and efficiency.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Experience
Proven experience as a CNC Lathe Programmer/Setter/Operator or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
Familiarity with CAD software.
Experience in warehouse operations, including materials handling and inventory management.
Proficient in using hand tools for fabrication and assembly tasks.
Knowledge of tooling requirements for various machining processes is preferred.
