Position summary
The ideal candidate will be primarily responsible for the ability to program, produce and test of Meters UK products. In addition, the candidate will assist in implementation and support of Meters UK services.
Duties:
- Program, maintain, and check electronic equipment and system (Electricity meters)
(Producing and repairing electronic and mechanical assemblies. Assembly of prototype electro-mechanical assemblies)
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with electronic components
- Test and calibrate electronic devices to ensure proper functionality
- Read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics
- Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and testing procedures
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in electronic technology
-PCBA controls and changes including reviewing of Gerbers and suggested replacement components
-Inspection, programming and testing of products and keeping records during the manufacturing process
-Ensure proper function of products and equipment.
-Provide technical support & assistance to clients via email, with guidance from the Production Manager
-Ensuring current builds are completed in accordance with the latest build procedures and in accordance with build standards.
-Quality assurance under guidance from the Production Manager
-Inform the Production Manager of updates needed to relevant production documentation, assembly, program & test procedures etc.
-Seek improvements and potential opportunities to improve productivity and efficiency
-Ensure the production area is clean and well organized
Requirements:
- Proven experience in software/electronics or similar role
-Experience with networking equipment and comms systems
- Strong knowledge of electronic components, circuits, and systems
- Proficient in using electronic testing equipment and tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
