The Whitechapel Centre's mission is to prevent and resolve homelessness, social exclusion and housing poverty by providing practical, realistic, tailored support so that each person can find a route out of homelessness, maintain a home and achieve their individual potential.
Our small team of Progression Coaches support and enrich our Pathways service for people with multiple and complex needs by offering targeted learning and development opportunities which help people improve their wellbeing and self-esteem and achieve their personal goals.
Carrying a small caseload, you will work closely with Support and Treatment Workers to deliver and broker learning and development activities and support services which help people connect with the wider community and make the transition out of homelessness services.
Well-organised, and with the energy and commitment to make a real difference, you will have a keen understanding of the needs of people with complex needs in relation to learning and enablement activities along with practical experience of designing and delivering group learning sessions.
We are particularly interested to receive applications from people with lived experience of homelessness and/or substance misuse
As this is a 7 day service, you will need to have the flexibility to work at weekends and outside of normal office hours by arrangement.
Funding for this service is to 31 March 2026 in the first instance however continuation funding will be sought.
