Progressions Coordinator / Work Placement Coordinator (Construction & Roofing)




Specialising in Construction & Roofing Learners -

Based at Building Futures, Aldridge (West Midlands)




Part time - 4 days per week



Working hours:

Monday - Thursday, 8:30am - 4:30pm


Salary:

24,000 - 28,000 FTE

(Actual salary for 4 days/week: approx. 20,480 - 23,893 pro-rata)

Here, you'll support learners pursuing careers in the

construction industry

- particularly

roofing, bricklaying, plastering, and other skilled trades

. You'll play a key role in shaping their futures by connecting them with exciting

work placements, apprenticeships, traineeships, and further education or training pathways

.

Your Role as a Progressions Coordinator

Every day is a chance to make an impact! You'll:

Champion Construction Learners

: Support young people on our

construction training programmes

- especially those specialising in roofing and related trades - by helping them set goals and explore career progression routes.

Build Employer Relationships

: Develop strong partnerships with local roofing firms, construction companies, and wider trade networks to create a pipeline of quality

work placements, apprenticeships, and employment opportunities

.

Track & Celebrate Progress

: Monitor learner achievements, progression, and outcomes to keep them motivated and on track.

Expand Your Network

: Establish and maintain a network of at least 50 active employers, with a focus on the construction and trades sector.

Prioritise Safety

: Carry out

risk assessments

to ensure all placements are safe, supportive, and suitable for young learners.

Deliver Employability Sessions

: Run engaging, practical

employability workshops

tailored to the needs of construction learners, covering workplace skills, CVs, and interview preparation.

Safeguard & Support

: Promote learner well-being, embed safeguarding practices, and uphold Juniper's core values in every interaction.

What You'll Need


--------------------

Essential:



Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths Experience or understanding of the

construction industry

(roofing or related trades desirable) Strong interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills A proactive, target-driven mindset

Desirable:



CEIAG Level 3/4 (or willingness to work towards this careers guidance qualification) Previous experience supporting

young people

, NEET learners, or delivering

employability guidance

Understanding of

work-based learning, apprenticeship pathways, and vocational training routes
