Project Accounting Manager

Role Context:

Based from our Brentford (London) Office, the Project Accounting Manager will work as part of the UK Operations team and report into the UK Project Accounting Manager.

You\xe2\x80\x99ll play a key role in helping the business maximise results and manage all aspects of financial performance reporting and commercial finance support activities across multiple projects in our Onshore Energy Business Unit.

You\'ll be:

  • Managing and developing the Project Accounting team operating in the Onshore Energy Business Unit
  • Ensuring the correct set-up and closure of all projects
  • Ensure Revenue Recognition is compliant with Worley policy and IFRS 15
  • Inputting for Corporate monthly financial reporting and quarterly forecasting
  • Reviewing and driving excellent working capital management, ensuring DSO and WIP KPIs are effectively monitored
  • Cash Forecasting and liaising with Treasury on management of foreign currency risk
  • Ensuring all necessary tax compliance and tax risks are reviewed and discussed with Corporate Tax team
  • Ensuring alignment of Project Controls and Finance functions
  • Finance liaison on all audits (external, client & internal audits)
  • Developing processes and methodologies and pushing for continuous improvement
  • Providing adhoc projects support to UK Project Accounting Manager & Project Management
Qualifications

You\'ll have:
  • A relevant Degree and be a qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) plus relevant work experience
  • A desire to make a difference and offer suggestions for improvement & recommendations
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent analytical skills and a strong eye for the detail
  • Previous experience working in a similar industry or sector preferably but isn\xe2\x80\x99t essential
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills plus experience using Oracle would be advantageous
