Miller Fabrications Ltd is seeking an organised and detail-focused
Project Administrator / Document Controller
to join our busy team in Wishaw.
You'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of structural steel projects -- managing documentation, assisting project teams, and ensuring all records are accurate, compliant, and up to date.
This role suits someone with strong administrative skills and an interest in construction, engineering, or manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative support across all project teams.
Arrange and issue work packages for fabrication workshops and site teams.
Attend pre-start meetings and complete associated documentation.
Liaise with external drawing and design teams as required.
Manage and maintain contracts, drawings, registers, and all project documentation.
Upload, download, and track drawings/documents via project portals and document management systems.
Raise and monitor RFIs, submissions, and trackers.
Assist in preparing and maintaining As-Built Drawings and other project deliverables.
Prepare progress and status reports.
Work closely with design, estimating, and commercial teams to manage variations and document changes.
Ensure documents are accurately filed and updated as new information becomes available.
What We're Looking For
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience with document management systems (preferred)
Able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
Team player with a proactive attitude
Experience in a construction or engineering environment is desirable but not essential -- full training will be provided.
Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Friday: 8:00 am - 3:30 pm
