Job Description

To provide a full and professional cleaning service to the Halton project you will be working as part of a Team delivering high quality support services to victims of domestic abuse and their families within a residential setting (Refuge).

Principle Accountabilities



Key aspects within the role are to:



Provide a cleaning service at Shap's Domestic Abuse accommodation Project

Monitor the maintenance of the properties to an agreed standard. Ensure properties are in good repair by reporting damage and/or wear and tear.

Carry out Health and safety checks and report back to management

Ensure property inventories are up to date

Ensure vacant properties are cleaned for letting within an agreed timeframe

Ensure all communal areas in the Refuge are cleaned

Ensure external areas are kept clean and tidy

Responsibilities shared with all staff



Ensure Shap's values and principles are maintained and developed

Demonstrate a commitment to Shap's principles and promote it's policies and procedures at all times

Participate in regular supervision and annual appraisal, helping to identify your own job-related development and training needs

maintain personal and professional boundaries; being able to identify and respond appropriately to acceptable and unacceptable conduct maintain confidentiality at all times, in accordance with agreed SHAP policy and procedures monitor and report incidents of concern including safeguarding alerts relating to the work of the project. Ensure that safeguarding, health and safety and all other key policy requirements are met when delivering the project work effectively with other colleagues within the service and local authority to support the effectiveness of the scheme take appropriate action in the event of emergencies, ensuring the operations manager or member of staff on call is informed promptly promote the organisation's commitment to valuing diversity, social justice, challenging discrimination and offering services in line with its stated values undertake additional reasonable duties (including attending training) as reasonably required and consistent with the general level of responsibility for this role
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to 10,158.72 per year

Expected hours: 16 per week
