Project Assistant/ Administrator
Location: Manchester, Warrington or Derby with Hybrid working available.

Why this role matters
We need you to join us as a Project Assistant, supporting the Head of Programme - Generic Product Development (GPD) to embed programme delivery approaches, consistent governance, and effective project management processes across the organisation.
You'll play a key part in ensuring high?quality reporting, well?structured programme planning, efficient administration, and seamless stakeholder collaboration across the Programme Directorate and wider business.

What you'll be doing
We need you to:
Programme SupportSupport the development and maintenance of the integrated programme plan. Work closely with PM teams, tracking progress against milestones and non?negotiable initiatives. Collate and validate programme?level data to support decision?making.

Governance & ReportingCoordinate Programme Board inputs, agendas, minutes and action tracking. Support the production of dashboards and reports (Power BI, Excel). Maintain document repositories and manage version control.

Administrative SupportArrange workshops, reviews, meetings and calendar coordination. Support onboarding of new team members in P3M processes and tools. Assist with SharePoint and collaboration platforms.

Process & Tool SupportHelp ensure compliance with P3M frameworks, templates and governance standards. Support updates in SAP, Workday and other delivery systems. Contribute to continuous improvement and data integrity initiatives.

Programme GeneralContribute to stakeholder management, requirements capture and embedding solutions that improve programme delivery.

You'll bring experience in:Working in a project or programme delivery environment, contributing to monthly drumbeats and reporting cycles. Understanding levels of enterprise data and adapting reporting for different audiences. Integrating data, analysing performance and telling the "story" behind programme information. Applying practitioner?level knowledge of risk, schedule, change and cost. Managing stakeholder relationships across a complex matrix environment. Driving collaboration, behaviours and continuous improvement in multi?disciplinary teams. Contributing to system improvements and cross?functional data flows.

Training & Qualifications
We're looking for someone who has:A degree or equivalent experience. Strong Microsoft 365 skills. Experience within a programme delivery environment in infrastructure or similar sectors. Membership of a relevant professional body or working towards it. Experience in collaborative roles focused on behaviours, culture, and engagement.

You'll work directly with:The Head of Programme - GPD Programme Directorate teams Engineering, Finance, HR and cross?functional delivery teams External suppliers (including occasional support with SAP Ariba and procurement tools)

What we will offer you;28,000 - 38,000 salary 2,200 benefits allowance Up to 7% bonus 28 days holiday + public holidays Standard RR?SMR pension up to 12%
