SibiNet is recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading consultancy in the Midlands, for an experienced Project Controls Manager.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Project Controls team working across a diverse range of high-profile infrastructure projects in the
defence, utilities, water, highways, transport and aviation
sectors.
As a Project Controls Manager, you will take ownership of delivering best practice in controls, planning, analytics, reporting, risk, change, resource and performance management solutions on complex, multidiscipline commissions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate a project controls team on major projects, ensuring scope, resources and deliverables are effectively managed.
Implement bespoke Project Controls strategies and processes across projects, programmes and portfolios.
Apply best practice project controls principles, translating client objectives and procurement strategies into execution plans.
Define success criteria and establish governance to ensure it is achieved.
Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one discipline (Planning, Analytics, Reporting, Risk, Cost Control, Estimating, Change, Governance or Strategy).
Provide assurance and audits, challenging, rationalising and validating project data prior to client submission.
Deliver confident project status updates to stakeholders, making recommendations for recovery or mitigation where needed.
Drive a positive, proactive project controls culture, holding work package owners accountable and ensuring clear communication across all interfaces.
Required Skills & Experience
Proven leadership in managing project controls teams on major commissions.
Strong track record of implementing Project Controls Management strategies.
Hands-on knowledge of project controls systems such as Primavera, Microsoft Project, Asta Powerproject, SAP, @Risk, Acumen, Power BI, Azure, Tableau, SharePoint, CEMAR, Conject or similar.
Solid understanding of contracts (NEC in particular) and their impact on project controls delivery.
Ability to conduct independent reviews, audits, and assurance checks.
Confident communicator with the ability to present clear project status reports and influence senior stakeholders.
Desirable Skills
Line management experience with a track record of mentoring and inspiring teams.
Experience in bid/proposal preparation, writing and review.
Excellent report writing and stakeholder engagement skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365.
